Summary:This paper studies the application of medium voltage power line carrier in Electricity Information Acquisition System, discusses the main application scenarios of medium voltage power line carrier, compares three upstream communication modes of medium voltage power line carrier, optical fiber and wireless public network, and summarizes the investment cost, construction and maintenance of medium voltage power line carrier. The field operation proves that the medium voltage carrier communication technology can improve the success rate of Electricity Information Acquisition System.
