Experimental investigations and development of physico-mathematical model of an aerodynamic surface icing in air flow carrying droplets and crystals

Description
Summary:The icing of aircraft parts during flight in mixed clouds (containing droplets and crystals) is one of important and, at the same time, insufficiently studied cases. In the present work, the effect of melting ratio on icing intensity of wing leading edge is experimentally studied. A physical and mathematical model of crystals accretion on the surface due to their deformation and destruction is proposed.
