Description
Summary:The article presents the results of an experimental study of the isotope exchange process between hydrogen and water in membrane contact devices with a Nafion-type membrane and a platinized heterogeneous RCTU-3SM catalyst. A mathematical description of the mechanism of mass transfer in a membrane contact device is proposed. The design of the presented membrane contact devices makes it possible to create countercurrent separation units that do not require a vertical arrangement.
