Summary: | Nanostructured particles represent a viable option for antigen carrier design in new vaccine development. In this research stage, some of the results obtained for the synthesis of silver nanoparticles covered with bovine serum albumin (AgNP-BSA) are presented. The silver nanoparticles were obtained by chemical reduction of silver nitrate (AgNO

) as precursor and sodium citrate (C

Na

) as reducing agent. The AgNP-BSA were obtained from the wet impregnation method using bovine serum albumin suspension at five different concentrations. The nanostructures were characterized by UV-vis spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), dynamic light scattering (DLS), and zeta potential (ζ). |
