Summary: | The paper presents the results of the development and experiments of a capacitor cell with stored energy up to 121.875 kJ with boosted switching-on, designed to operate at voltages up to 50 kV and a maximum discharge current amplitude of up to 500 kA. The cell has two circuits. The “fast” circuit, switched using a pseudo-spark switch, provides the initial boosted switching-on and increase in voltage in the load, and the main “slow” circuit, switched using trigger vacuum switches, ensures a subsequent increase in the current to the required value. |
