Summary: | Development of advanced oil shale processing technologies for production of liquid and gaseous fuels, as well as chemical raw materials, is a very topical problem. The article provides information on commercially implemented oil shale thermal processing technologies which use gaseous (Fushun, Kiviter and Petrosix) and solid (Lurgi-Ruhrgas, Tosco II, Aostra-Tasiyuk, Galoter) heat carriers. The authors note that the Galoter process implemented in plants with solid heat carriers has significant advantages compared to other processes. |
