Summary: | SME productivity and a green economy are part of the economic transformation strategy to achieve Indonesia’s Vision 2045. As an SME actor who pays attention to environmental aspects, ecopreneurs can play a role in increasing the achievement of a green economy in the region. This research aims to analyze the opportunities and challenges for ecopreneurs in realizing a green economy in South Tangerang City. The scope of this research is ecopreneurs in South Tangerang City. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive analysis method. Data collection methods involve field interviews, literature studies, and observation. This research proposes purposive sampling. The results show that the opportunity for ecopreneurs is to contribute to growing the regional economy, improve people’s lives by covering economic, social, and environmental aspects, increase the proportion of waste processing and recycling, and increase employment. While the challenge is the need for rapid adaptation according to consumer demands, strengthening the ability to meet business requirements, improving managerial skills, expanding networks, building partnerships, and cooperating with governments, associations, industry, and companies. |
