Summary:Features of structure formation in polyimide-polytetrafluoroethylene composites after explosive pressing of powder mixture in closed steel cylindrical ampoule have been researched. It is found that structure changes abruptly in the center of the compact with appearance of nanoscale phases, the change of the fine structure and the increase of microhardness which is implemented with certain parameters of explosives.
