Prediction of flexural Strength of SFRC form Concrete Strength without fibres

Results of an investigation conducted to study the Flexural strength of steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) containing fibers of 1%, 2% and 3% volume fraction of Hook tain steel fibers of 50, 60 and 67 aspect ratio are presented. Beam specimens of dimension 100 x 100 x 500 mm were tested under co...

Description
Summary:Results of an investigation conducted to study the Flexural strength of steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) containing fibers of 1%, 2% and 3% volume fraction of Hook tain steel fibers of 50, 60 and 67 aspect ratio are presented. Beam specimens of dimension 100 x 100 x 500 mm were tested under compression testing machine as per I.S. 516-1959. A result data obtained is analyzed and compared with control concrete specimen without fibers. From the data from various references and own data a mathematical models is developed which predicts flexural strength with the help of control concrete strength without fibers, percentage of fibers (Vf) and aspect ratio (AR). The mathematical model is found to be very successful.
