Description
Summary:The article investigates the sorption properties of modified heat-resistant concrete based on liquid glass and slag aggregates produced at Volzhsky Pipe Plant through the BET method. For the purpose of comparative analysis, the specific features of the changes in the sorption properties of heat-resistant Portland cement concrete and aluminous cement concrete as well as of ordinary concrete resulted from high-temperature heating have been determined. The adsorption isotherms of heat-resistant and ordinary concretes have been obtained. The data on the changes in concrete specific surface area due to an increase in the heating temperature and elongated duration of the exposure to high temperatures have been found. The authors have also revealed the changes in the structure and the properties of the materials under investigation depending on the type, composition and hygroscopic behavior of the components included.
