Description
Summary:A model is proposed for particle and energy transport in tokamaks. The model represents an improvement of the previous MAKOKOT code, and includes the processes of neoclassical and anomalous diffusion, neutral-gas recycling, a noncoronal description of impurity transport and transport due to sawtooth oscillations for ohmically heated plasmas. Experimental results obtained on the TFR, DITE and Alcator tokamaks have been successfully accounted for in terms of the present model, and simulations of the characteristics of plasmas in future JET and Ignitor tokamak experiments have been performed.
