Study of spin-dipole strengths in 16F via complete polarization transfer measurements

A complete set of polarization transfer observables has been measured for the 16O(p, n) reaction at Tp 296 MeV and θlab 0°. The measured polarization transfer observables are used in order to investigate the spin-parity of the spin-dipole resonance in 16F. A possible indication of 0− state has been...

Description
Summary:A complete set of polarization transfer observables has been measured for the 16O(p, n) reaction at Tp 296 MeV and θlab 0°. The measured polarization transfer observables are used in order to investigate the spin-parity of the spin-dipole resonance in 16F. A possible indication of 0− state has been found at Ex 11.0 MeV. The obtained results also show the energy hierarchy Ex(2−) < Ex(0−) < Ex(l−), which suggests the importance of the tensor correlations.
