Summary: | A survey of modern structures and features was carried out within one small valley in the southern Argolid, Greece. The focus was on modern site function as it related to materials content, size, and topographic location. The main purpose of the survey was to collect a body of data that could serve as the basis for the formation of hypotheses about ancient site functions in the same valley. An attempt is made to determine the functions of archaeological sites by reference to these formulated hypotheses. |
