Cynoglossopsis somaliensis H. Riedl, sp. nov., is described as a new species of the hitherto monotypic genus Cynoglossopsis Brand which is closest related to Cynoglossum L. but has to be included in BoraginoideaeEritrichieae from the way the nutlets are attached to the gynobasis.
