Summary: | On the basis of a detailed revision of the entire material available, 46 species of Siphonaptera are recorded from Finland, three of them (Amphipsylla sibirica, Myodopsylla trisellis and Megabothris calcarifer) for the first time. Distribution maps are presented for all Fennoscandian species, and they are divided into distributional types. Flea/host associations are discussed and an index of the flea species of different hosts is presented. A detailed bibliography of the Siphonaptera of Finland and adjacent areas is included. |
