Petrochemical studies on the epicentral region of the recent Jabalpur earthquake
We report presence of five physically distinct and chemically dissimilar basaltic lava flows in the Kosamghat, the epicentral region of the Jabalpur earthquake. The major shift (∼ 150 m) in the stratigraphic height of the fifth lava flow at the western flank of the Nagapahar range suggests the prese...

Summary: | We report presence of five physically distinct and chemically dissimilar basaltic lava flows in the Kosamghat, the epicentral region of the Jabalpur earthquake. The major shift (∼ 150 m) in the stratigraphic height of the fifth lava flow at the western flank of the Nagapahar range suggests the presence of a NE–SW trending post-Deccan normal fault in the region. |
