Description
Summary:In Lešonenu 41, pp. 48–51, I mentioned Tur-Sinai's statement that the actual meaning of raʿăma in Job 39:19 – 'mane (of a horse)' – is already found in the Septuagint, where φόβον is to be read φόβην. In a note sent to me by Professor S. A. Löwenstamm close to the publication of my article, he pointed out that this emendation in the Septuagint was first suggested in the seventeenth century by Samuel Bochart in his Hierozoicon.
