IRREDUCIBLE MULTIPLICATION OPERATORS ON SPACES OF ANALYTIC FUNCTIONS

Let Mφ be the operator of multiplication by a bounded analytic function φ in a planar domain Ω on a Hilbert space of analytic functions in Ω. We give a sufficient condition for Mφ to be irreducible.
