The Raiding Behavior of Polyergus lucidus lucidus in Central Illinois (Hymenoptera: Formicidae)

An idealized raid of Polyergus lucidus lucidus Mayr and unusual raiding behavior are described and discussed. The method employed by scouts to locate host nests is also reported.
