Summary:Paper based on research conducted in koliwara in Mumbai, in Uran village in Navi Mumbai explores vulnerabilities, uncertain communities in low lying coastal zones threatened by floods and severe environmental degradation. Real estate, imperatives of economic growth marginalizes resource-based communities like Koli fishers. Through Photovoice, communities express local livelihood challenges to policy nodes unlocking transformative community voices on environmental marginalization, livelihood loss in Mumbai metropolitan region. The paper argues that photovoice explores a transformative potential for vulnerable communities with livelihood needs and helped dialogue with local policy to inform community resource-based livelihood policy and planning.
