Die Gattung Rothmaleria Font Quer (Asteraceae, Lactuceae)

Rothmaleria is a very rare monotypic genus endemic to the dolomite mountains near Granada in southern Spain. Morphological, anatomical and cytological data suggest relationships to Hymenonema and Catananche and indicate a remarkable primitiveness of this relictual plant.
