Summary:This paper presents a record of a number of open-air rock carvings that have been discovered near the passage tombs at Loughcrew, Co. Meath, in recent years. In contrast to previous discoveries of rock art in the area, these carvings are on earthfast boulders and so it is possible to discuss their place in the landscape and their possible relationship with the carvings in the passage tombs.
