Summary: | This paper presents conclusions of three Norwegian guidance booklets on joint location and coordinated use in the community. The work is initiated by the authors and funded by the National Committee for Local Community Environment in Norway. An important source of inspiration and information has been the research presented by many countries in the Programme on Educational Building (PEB), Organization for European Community Development (OECD). The main objective of this work is to provide information on planning and coordination of spaces for schools and other premises for the community. Why coordinate? What can be coordinated and how to coordinate are some of the questions we have to answer, in order to create a 'living' local community and meet the need for a more efficient use of resources. |
