Summary:Recent fungicides such as Blitox - 50, Hexaferb, Hexathir, Dithane Z-78 and Cuman were tried along with Bordeaux mixture in 3 concentations to control the leaf spot disease of turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) caused by Taphirina maculans Butler. A lower disease intensity was observed with an increase in concentration of the fungicides. Dithane Z-78 at 0.35% concentration was the best in lowering the disease intensity, while 0.45% Hexaferb increased the rhizome yield. Fungicidi di recente introduzione, quali Blitox-50, Hexaferb, Hexathir, Dithane Z-78 e Cuman sono stati provati assieme a poltiglia bordolese in 3 diverse concentrazioni allo scopo di controllare la maculatura fogliare della Curcuma o Zafferano delle Indie (Curcuma longa L.) provocata da Taphrina maculans Butler. Aumentando la concentrazione dei fungicidi si è assistito ad un decremento della intensità della malattia. Il Dithane Z-78 a 0.35% di concentrazione si è rivelato il migliore, mentre lo Hexaferb allo 0.45% incrementa la produzione di rizomi.
