Summary:Vegetation formations and flora of "La Melba" region, located at 30 km southeast of Moa, between the tablelands of Moa and Mina Iberia are analyzed. A schematic transect of the vegetation and soil, a table of endemism and a floristic list of the colected plants are presented. Some recommendations for the natural conservation of the region are discussed. Se analizan las formaciones vegetales y la flora de la vegetación de la región de "La Melba" situada a unos 30 km al sureste de Moa entre el altiplano de Moa y el altiplano de la Mina Iberia. Se presentan un transeeto esquemático de la vegetación y el suelo, una tabla de endémicos y un listado florístico de las colectas efectuadas. Se someten a consideración algunas recomendaciones para la conservación de la región.
