In this paper, one of his colleagues, lawyer at Makivik Corporation since 1979, offers a very personal insight into the personality of Mark R. Gordon, as it was revealed in a visit to a Toba village in Northern Argentine. Mark R. Gordon, disparu tragiquement en 1989, fut l'un des leaders inuit les plus influents de sa génération. Dans ce texte, un de ses collègues avocat à la Société Makivik depuis 1979, trace un portrait attachant de Mark Gordon au travers du récit d'un voyage qu'ils firent ensemble dans un village toba du nord de l'Argentine.
