NOMOTHETIC ASPECTS OF CHIPPED-STONE EXPERIMENTS

Experimental studies of chipped-stone use and manufacture are suggested to have a nomothetic basis. The general form taken by all such laws is described. It is suggested that experimenters need to formulate their research designs and publish their findings in terms of lawlike statements.
