Description
Summary:The article sets out its results of research aimed at establishing the links between marriage and birth rates and short economic cycles between 1863 and 1964. A close correlation exists between the demografie variables and the cyclical phenomena during the first seventy years. After the second world war their is a marked reduction in this conformity. The cause of this difference is to be found both in the changed economic structure and in the changed nature and intensity of the cycles which are affected by the increasing rate of economic growth.
