Summary:Polen ist das einzige Land in Europa, das in der globalen Wirtschaftsund Finanzkrise nicht in die Rezession stürzte. Der Kapitalmarkt war weniger anfällig als der vieler europäischer Staaten. Auch ist Polen nicht in dem Maße vom Export abhängig wie andere Länder der Region. Gleichzeitig war Polen aber auch fähig, gut auf die Krise zu reagieren. Ein flexibler Arbeitsmarkt erlaubte rasche Anpassungen, ebenso half eine kluge Geld- und Währungspolitik. Poland is the only country in Europe that did not plunge into a recession during the global economic and financial crisis. Its capital market was less vulnerable than that of many European countries. Poland is not as dependent on exports as other countries in the region. At the same time, Poland was able to respond well to the crisis as well. A flexible labour market allowed for quick adjustments; a smart monetary and currency policy also helped.
