Description
Summary:In order to investigate the effect of graphene content on coating properties, in the research, uniformly dispersed graphene powder was added to the epoxy resin system, preparing graphene coatings with high resistance to corrosion and decay. The diffraction peaks of the coating before and after immersing it in 3.5 wt% NaCl solution and the changes of its microstructure were compared by XRD and SEM, and the results showed the generation of a new composition Zn 5 (OH) 8 Cl 2 ·H 2 O. At the same time, the experiments were carried out to analyze the anti-corrosion performance of the coatings in acid, alkali and salt environments by immersion method and electrochemical AC impedance test, etc. The analysis showed that the graphene coatings with the content of 0.125 wt% showed good anti-corrosion performance in 3.5 wt% NaCl, 2 mol/L HCl and 2 mol/L NaOH. The anti-corrosion properties may be due to the fact that graphene enhanced barrier character of the coating, slowing down the penetration of corrosive media, while the electrical conductivity of graphene is conducive to the zinc-rich coating sacrificial anode to achieve cathodic protection. This research provides a new solution for the production and application of industrialized graphene coatings.
