Description
Summary:We tested the accuracy of the relaxation times T 1 and T 2 of MAGiC magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) by using a synthetic technique and comparing them with those obtained from conventional spin echo MRI. A phantom using a gadolinium contrast agent was produced and utilized to increase the accuracy of the measurement by minimizing the susceptibility effects that occurred in in-vivo experiments. This study showed that T 2 mapping of MAGiC MRI has an error by comparing T 1 and T 2 of MAGiC MRI with those of conventional spin echo MRI, which provides the most accurate mapping value.
