Radiolytic synthesis of Pd-M (M = Ag, Ni, and Cu)/C catalyst and their use in Suzuki-type and Heck-type reaction

Carbon-supported bimetallic Pd-M (M = Ag, Ni, and Cu) nanoparticles were synthesized by γ-irradiation at room temperature without reducing agents, and then were loaded on carbon (producing Pd/C and Pd-M/C), which was confirmed by TEM, STEM, TEM-EDXS, ICP-AES and XRD data. The Pd/C and Pd-M/C materia...

Description
Summary:Carbon-supported bimetallic Pd-M (M = Ag, Ni, and Cu) nanoparticles were synthesized by γ-irradiation at room temperature without reducing agents, and then were loaded on carbon (producing Pd/C and Pd-M/C), which was confirmed by TEM, STEM, TEM-EDXS, ICP-AES and XRD data. The Pd/C and Pd-M/C materials were applied as catalyst in Suzuki- and Heck-type reactions in EtOH and in acetonitrile, respectively. The Pd-Cu/C showed high catalytic efficiency in the Suzuki- and Heck-type reaction.
