Summary:A novel and facile methodology for synthesizing diverse dihydrodibenzofuranones from easily accessible cyclic iodonium ylides is achieved. This protocol proceeds through the aryl migration of iodonium ylide followed by Pd‐catalyzed intramolecular arylation. A facile methodology for the synthesis of diverse dihydrodibenzofuranones from aryliodonium ylides via thermal migration of aryl group followed by palladium‐catalyzed CH activation has been reported.
