It not only offers a lively description of his tragic personal life but also details the various stages of his scholarly and political career. Kwon does not reveal why he began writing a diary. He was twenty when he started this chronicle of his life and he continued writing it until ten days before his death in the seventh month of 1759. Here, Deuchler examines Kwon's diary. |
