Constraints on Gluon Polarization in the proton from PHENIX Double Helicity Asymmetry Data

We present a simple approach to constrain the gluon polarization in the proton, Δ G, in the gluon momentum fraction range 0.02–0.3 from PHENIX latest results on double helicity asymmetry in π 0 production from polarized proton-proton collisions at s = 200 GeV at mid-rapidity.
