Description
Summary:The SEQUOIA direct geometry chopper spectrometer at the Spallation Neutron Source is considering acquisition of a radial collimator. We present here Monte-Carlo calculations examining the proposed collimator's performance. Through comparison of calculations with and without sample environments in place, one can determine appropriate parameters to use in the collimator design. The numerical results provide enough detail to determine the angular collimation for the radial collimator.
