Summary:The anomalous decays of {eta} and {eta}{sup '} into {pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -}l{sup +}l{sup -} (with l = e,{mu}) are investigated within a chiral unitary approach which combines the chiral effective Lagrangian with a non-perturbative treatment of final-state interactions.
