Novel twin-perovskite nanocomposite of Ba–Ce–Fe–Co–O as a promising triple conducting cathode material for protonic ceramic fuel cells

Description
Summary:A stable twin-perovskite nanocomposite of Ba–Ce–Fe–Co–O was synthesized by a one-pot Pechini synthesis method. This discovery has opened a new avenue in the development of high-performance cathodes for protonic ceramic fuel cells (PCFCs). The symmetrical cells showed relatively low cathode area-specific resistance compared with existing the state-of-the-art PCFC cathodes. Furthermore, the single cells demonstrated a low polarization resistance of 0.075 Ω cm² and a high peak power density of 335 mW cm² at 700 °C under an Air/H2 gradient.
