Summary:(R)-2-Cyano-N-(1-phenylethyl) acetamide (RCNPA) single crystals were grown by slow evaporation of the aqueous solution at room temperature (300K) using ethanol. The grown crystals were characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, powder X-ray diffraction, FTIR, UV-Vis-NIR transmittance, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and powder second harmonic generation (SHG).
