Roughness and giant magnetoresistance in Fe/Cr superlattices

The structure, magnetotransport, and magnetization of Fe/Cr superlattices as a function of systematic changes in interfacial roughness were studied in detail. The results clearly show that the giant magnetoresistance is enhanced by the presence of roughness. This fact indicates that interfacial roug...

Description
Summary:The structure, magnetotransport, and magnetization of Fe/Cr superlattices as a function of systematic changes in interfacial roughness were studied in detail. The results clearly show that the giant magnetoresistance is enhanced by the presence of roughness. This fact indicates that interfacial roughness should be explicitly included in theoretical calculations and experimental characterization of superlattices exhibiting giant mangetoresistance.
