Tests of factorization in [ital D], [ital D][sub [ital s]][sup +], and [ital B] decays
We have tested the factorization hypothesis by comparing [ital B]([ital D][sup 0][r arrow][ital K][sup [minus]][rho][sup +]), [ital B]([ital D][sup 0][r arrow][ital K][sup [minus]][ital a][sub 1][sup +]), and [ital B]([ital D][sup 0][r arrow][ital K][sup [minus]][pi][sup +]) with [ital B]([ital D][s...

Summary: | We have tested the factorization hypothesis by comparing [ital B]([ital D][sup 0][r arrow][ital K][sup [minus]][rho][sup +]), [ital B]([ital D][sup 0][r arrow][ital K][sup [minus]][ital a][sub 1][sup +]), and [ital B]([ital D][sup 0][r arrow][ital K][sup [minus]][pi][sup +]) with [ital B]([ital D][sup 0][r arrow][ital K][sup [minus]][ital e+][nu]), and [ital B]([ital D][sup 0][r arrow][pi][sup +][pi][sup [minus]]) with [ital B]([ital D][sup 0][r arrow][pi][sup [minus]][ital e+][nu]). In all cases [ital except] [ital D][sup 0][r arrow][ital K][sup [minus]][ital a][sub 1][sup +] we find that the factorization hypothesis works once final-state interactions are taken into account. [ital D][sup 0][r arrow][ital K][sup [minus]][ital a][sub 1][sup +] remains a problem. We have also predicted [ital B]([ital D][sub [ital s]][sup +][r arrow][ital K][sup 0][ital e+][nu]) by relating it to [ital B]([ital D][sub [ital s]][sup +][r arrow][ital K][sup +][ital [bar K]*0]) and [ital B]([ital D][sub [ital s]][sup +][r arrow]([eta],[eta][prime])[ital e][sup +][nu]) by relating them to [ital B]([ital D][sub [ital s]][sup +][r arrow]([eta],[eta][prime])[rho][sup +]). Finally, we discuss tests of factorization in [ital B][sup 0][r arrow][pi][sup +][pi][sup [minus]] by relating it to [ital B][sup 0][r arrow][pi][sup [minus]][ital e+][nu]. |
