Field variation of the rf penetration depth and its effect on kinetic inductance in Bi sub 2 Sr sub 2 CaCu sub 2 O sub x microstrip transmission lines

Strong kinetic inductance effects are observed in a multilayer resonator structure. The influence of temp. and of rf and dc magnetic fields are reported. Penetration depth in Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O films are externally influenced and treated as a design parameter for applications.
