Determination of ethers and alcohols in gasolines by gas chromatography/Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy

The use of gas chromatography (GC) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy to determine ether and alcohol levels in fuels is discussed. GC/FTIR is an accurate technique for measuring alcohols and ethers in gasoline.
