Description
Summary:Angular distributions of differential cross section and vector analyzing power have been measured for the elastic and inelastic scattering of polarized [sup 6]Li by [sup 26]Mg at 60 MeV bombarding energy. The data have been compared with the results of coupled-channels calculations using phenomenological potentials and coupling strengths derived from inelastic scattering cross-section data and [ital B]([ital E]2) values. The data are reproduced by calculations including couplings between the ground and excited states of the projectile.
