Summary:Diffusion coefficients for Cu − diffusion in γ- and β-phase CuCl have been measured with an in situ tracer diffusion technique. The diffusion coefficients were measured at five temperatures in the γ-phase and at two temperatures in the β-phase. The diffusion in the γ-phase was shown to follow an Arrhenius law with an activation energy of 1.4(1) eV.
