Description
Summary:We present a search for the standard model Higgs boson in the inclusive diphoton final state using {approx} 2.7 fb{sup -1} of data collected with the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron p{bar p} Collider. We observe good agreement between the data and the background prediction, and set 95% C.L. upper limits on the Higgs production cross section times the branching ratio for H {yields} {gamma}{gamma} for Higgs boson masses between 100 and 150 GeV. For a Higgs boson mass of 130 GeV, we obtain an observed (expected) limit of 41.9 (49.1) fb, a factor of 18.7 (21.9) above the standard model prediction.
