Description
Summary:The use of tensorial covariants, subduction, and domain structure tables are shown to facilitate the computation of physical property tensors, their matrix form, the relationships among these tensors in domain states which arise during a phase transition, and the relationship of these components to parameters that drive a phase transition. An example is given for phase transitions between a parent phase point group symmetry of m 3 m and the point group mmm.
