SEPARATION OF ANIONS ON THORIUM TRIETHYLAMINE AS A NEW CHELATING AND ANION EXCHANGER

A new inorganic ion exchanger, thorium triethylamine, has been synthesized. The material has been studied for its anion exchange capacity, sorption capacity, K d values, composition, potentiometric titration, infrared spectrum, and chemical stability. The material was found useful for separation of...

Description
Summary:A new inorganic ion exchanger, thorium triethylamine, has been synthesized. The material has been studied for its anion exchange capacity, sorption capacity, K d values, composition, potentiometric titration, infrared spectrum, and chemical stability. The material was found useful for separation of I − and Br − from CrO 4 2− and Cr 2 O 7 2- , I − and Br − from VO 3 − and PO 4 3- , SCN − and I − from Cr 2 O 7 2− and Fe(CN) 6 3- and I − from S 2 O 3 2- .
