Description
Summary:The HT-7U is a tokamak with superconducting toroidal field (TF) and poloidal field (PF) magnets. The mission of the HT-7U project is to develop scientific and engineering issues on the steady state operation of advanced tokamak. The design of TF and PF magnets has been optimized. The R&D program of magnets is going on. All of the TF and PF coils will be manufactured and tested in Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ASIPP). Therefore, a 600 meters long length jacketing line for cable-in-conduit conductors, two winding machines and a test facility for the TF and PF coils are now ready in ASIPP. In this paper, progress of the HT-7U magnets is described.
