Description
Summary:ABSTRACTGenerators of steam turbines play a key role in power plants. Deionized water is normally used as the cooling media in cooling systems of generators of steam turbines. The quality of cooling water is checked to ensure that the concentration of Cu2+ is no more than 40 ppb and conductivity is 6 ppm) to deionized water. The thermodynamic parameters of adsorption of BTA and TTA were also calculated.EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURESExperimental MethodsSpecimens (dimensions: 25 by 25 by 1.5 mm) were prepared from oxygen-free, high-conductivity (OFHC) copper. The copper composition was pure copper (99.99%). Specimens were polished with P 1200-grade silicon carbide (SiC) paper, degreased with analytical reagent (AR)-grade acetone (CH3COCH3), and rinsed with deionized water. The specimens were immersed in 250-mL glass beakers (with lids) containing 250 mL of test solutions at different concen-
